Linda Baccei Art Quilts and Window Art.

Linda Baccei creates complex and unusual art quilts. Art quilts are a unique art form using textiles to create quilts that are not traditional block quilts to adorn a bed. Her inspirations are often nature and natural scenes. Sometimes a piece of fabric will suggest the theme of a quilt. Sometimes a title is the seed that starts a quilt growing.

Linda also creates a new and original fabric art that she calls “window art”. These are quilted, translucent pieces that hang in a window. They are quilt tops that let the light shine through.

Linda works very slowly and methodically, spending months on design and color selection before finally sewing the pieces together. The process of creation is the most pleasurable aspect of the work for her. The exhibit will be on display at the Piermont Public Library  through the end of September 2026
