Piermont Artists Adelaide Palmer and Stephanie Gordon artwork on display December 2024 through January 2025
125 years separate these two painters, who both have lived on Church Street in Piermont. Come look at the synchronicities and differences between the artwork of these two artists at the Piermont Library.
The Piermont Library is lucky enough to own three oil paintings by Adelaide Palmer. Palmer was a successful artist and teacher in Boston and Piermont. Her paintings are exhibited annually in December and January so that library patrons may enjoy seeing her beautiful work.
Stephanie Gordon creates encaustic mixed media paintings. Encaustic is an ancient and luminous technique of painting with molten pigmented wax. Gordon also incorporates mixed media effects into her work. Her landscapes transmit the awe and delight one experiences when out in the woods.
This exhibit will be on display for December 2024 and January 2025.
